You will be visiting the farm of Frank O Grady who will personally guide the walk. He is the 3rd generation of his family to work this land.

                            Agricultural  

Caherfadda is a working farm that produces cattle for the beef trade, using an ancient traditional farming system unique to the Burren, you will learn how this method as proven to be the only way to protect this environmentally sensitive land.

                          Geological

  You will see limestone rock pavements, various erratics , chert deposits

                    Archaeology

Remains of a Neolithic settlements, complete with ancient mound walls that date back to 3500bc  a cairn enclosed in  a ring. There is also a stone quarry site with some unfinished cut stone.    

                           Botany

The Burren Flora, when in bloom there are many rare and beautiful Alpine and Mediterranean flowers which grow beside each other. The rare hen harrier can sometimes be seen . Small reclusive animals like the Pine Marten live here. And the feral goats wander wild and free across acres of land.
